Patrick Mathis, Co-Founder and Managing Member of Title IX Solutions, was awarded an honorary doctorate by Illinois College during its 192nd Commencement ceremony on May 3, 2026.

Mathis was recognized for his 20 years of service on the Illinois College Board of Trustees, where he provided leadership as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and served on the Executive, Governance, and Academics and Student Success Committees.

Mathis has expertise spanning business law, banking, estate planning, taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his role at Title IX Solutions, he is a founding shareholder of Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd., where he advises clients on a wide range of complex legal and business matters. He has also remained actively engaged in his community, serving a range of civic and charitable organizations throughout Southern Illinois.
